I think you’re both growing ranunculus. Mine have been in the closet for about 10 days (actually it’s more like 12) now and only a couple seem to have sprouts… I just put them under the light but do you think I should have waited a little longer before putting them under the light? Until more sprout?

Hi Christina! I just put mine under the lights as well, I think we should be good! I've noticed some more growth since having them under the light for the past 2-3 days.
Ok good to know!! I started wondering if I was watering them too much or too little. I figured since I’m seeing some growth on a couple… that maybe it’s just a good sign and I’ll run with it. So they are under the lights.

Ok, update and questions.
How many hours do the lights stay on and off? Consistent light? My grow lights have a timer. Does this change for every type of flower?
I have 19 Ranunculus corms and out of that 19 I have 6 that have germinated. However one in particular is doing way better than the rest. It’s like he had a jump start where as the others are just little tiny spikes coming out of the corms and slowly but surely are growing. The rest (13 of them 🙄) look like nothing.
Thoughts anyone?? If they never germinate do I just throw them out and consider them duds? If that’s the case I almost want to start more!
Hey! I keep the lights on for 16 hours a day for all my flowers. There are plenty of flowers that sort of grow at different times, I have the same thing happening with my ranuculus as well. Normally I will pot up some of the ones that look further along and plant them under another light that is higher up to accommodate the growth. Also, i will put the light on an angle, and try to rearrange the flowers so the taller further along ones are all together on one side of the light. (I'll try and take a photo of this!!)
I would stick with the ones you have AND try and start more if you have more corms on hand!

Just a little bit of an update on the ranunculus. I have 20 corms in a tray. Out of that 20 I have 8 that are sprouting. Those 8 are at very different stages. One is pretty far along... almost 4 leaves and a little tall. The other 7 really are at different stages. One or two of them just starting to sprout. I can see the little green poking out of the corm so I know it's coming. The others don't seem to be doing anything.
My question... for the one that's further along. Should I be taking it out at some point? Or waiting until the others are further along? I wasn't sure if I should be transplanting them at different times based on their growth? For the ones that are showing no sign of germination...what do I do with them? count it as a loss? Take them out of the tray?
I guess based on your post above... I can move the lights around a bit. But when it came to transplanting... is the goal to do them all at the same time when you've started them in the same succession?
Hey! so more often than not, some are ready to put outside earlier than others. I have some that have been outdoors for about a week, some that are hardening and off, and some still under the lights. They are all over the place, and all started the same way, same time. So keep doing what you're doing, and if some look big I would plant them out in a crate or pot soon if you don't have frost cloth. That way you can bring them in the house if it gets too cold!
Oh a the ones with no life, I would get your fingers on them and see if they are squishy or feel rotted. If not, I might keep trying to get them going.
Ok rununculus question here.
I transplanted my soil blocks into pots. I have 4 pots with one ranunuclus each and one pot that holds two. They seem to be doing well however, I'm not convinced they are growing much. Maybe a little bit...but it seems they are slightly stalled. My husband thinks I'm crazy and that they appear to be growing but I really don't think so. Is this something I should be concerned about if they are in pots and not the ground? They have been in the pots for about two weeks now.
Thoughts?
